Release notes for the Fedora installer, Anaconda, as well as related topics, are now being maintained upstream. See the project’s ReadTheDocs documentation for a full list of installer-related changes in Fedora 37.
In previous Fedora releases, the minimal installer image (
boot.iso) used the syslinux bootloader when booting on systems using BIOS firmware, while on UEFI systems GRUB2 is used. However, the syslinux project is no longer being developed upstream. Therefore, starting with Fedora 37,
boot.iso images will use GRUB2 on both BIOS and UEFI-based systems.
